Wondering how to participate in CyberTrek? Here is an user instruction detailed user instruction for detailed steps and FAQs:
What is CyberAccount? How is it different from my MetaMask Ethereum address?
Web3 users today interact with Ethereum using EOAs. This is the only way to start a transaction or execute a smart contract. This limits how users can interact with Ethereum and contributes to poor user experience like inability to do batch transactions or requiring users to always keep an ETH balance to cover gas. Your Metamask wallet is a commonly used browser-based EOA. CyberAccount, on the other hand, is an ERC-4337-compatible account infrastructure that implements account abstraction to unlock many benefits for the users like batching transactions, social logins, account recovery, gas delegation and more. To learn more about account abstraction, visit here.
What is gas credit?
Much like how you pay gas to execute a blockchain transaction through your crypto wallet, your gas credit on CyberAccount can be used to pay for transactions on any one of our six supported networks. The key difference with gas credit on CyberAccount is that you can pay for gas on a given blockchain network with the native currency of a different network. For example, with CyberAccount, you can pay for a transcation on Optimism in $MATIC (Polygonβs native currency).
Why gas credit cannot be used elsewhere on Link3?
Currently, Link3 is still running on CyberConnect V2. The gas credit will be able to use on Link3 as soon as Link3 is fully migrated to CyberConnect V3.
How can I use CyberAccount/CyberWallet?
You will soon be able to manage your CyberAccount via our CyberWallet app, which will be launched in the coming months. With that app, you will be able to connect your CyberAccount using WalletConnect on any Web3 dApp.
Why is my gas credit deducted more than the estimated amount?
During the transaction, your CyberAccount will be deducted with the max amount of gas needed for the transaction. However the actual transaction costs will be close to estimated amount - $2.7 for Linea and 0.02$ for Polygon.
For example your CyberAccount might be deducted with $8 for transaction on Linea at first. Once your transactions have successfully gone through, extra gas credit will be refunded back to the CyberAccount after refreshing the page. You can check your transactions on Lineascan: or Polygonscan:
